Who are these instructions for?

If you have purchased a digital edition subscription from BuySubscriptions or if you are a print subscriber who has been given free access to the digital edition for a limited period.

If you purchased your subscription or issues directly from the Apple or Google Play Store you do not need to log in and your issues should appear automatically. If they do not please see our FAQs.

Before you start:

You will need your subscriber number. This can be found on the confirmation email/letter sent when you purchased the subscription. It is also on the cover wrap of your magazine above your address. This number begins with a 4.

Step One: Download your App

On your chosen device (that you will use to read your magazines) open up the App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device type. Search for your chosen app and install it to your device.

Step Two: Register inside the App

Once you open the app you will be asked to register. You will need to register a new account rather than signing in with one you've previously used for Buysubscription.

Step Three: Sign In

You will then need to restore your purchases which will give you access to your subscription and any previous purchases. You can click 'I have no purchases to restore' on the page referring to in-app purchases. Instead you will need to enter your subscriber on the next slide titled 'other purchases'. Then press 'Redeem'.

If you have skipped this step and need to restore your purchases at a later date, you can do this by heading to the menu icon in the top left corner of the app and selecting 'Restore Purchases'. From here you can again enter your subscriber number in the box under 'Other purchases'.

Please note the start date of your subscription as this will determine which issues you are able to read in the app.

If you are using the ios BBC Top Gear app you simply need to tap the menu in the top right hand corner and then tap 'Log in' and fill in your details.

The login screen will appear. Enter the email address and password that you set up on buysubscriptions.com and tap 'Login'. You will then be able to download and enjoy the issues entitled to you as part of your subscription by tapping the 'Download' button beneath the issue. Once the issue is downloaded just tap 'Read' to open the issue.
